North Bay underground favorites, John Courage Trio cover a wide ground of genres across rock n’ roll, blues, country and an Americana style wanderlust, backed by full tilt guitar driven choruses to melodic ballads that unfold into a psychedelic atmosphere. Mike Hellman is a country and Americana troubadour with a bent for the unconventional, slinging songs with substance, conviction and grit, swinging from ballad to barn burner to outright rock ‘n’ roll, and his rich baritone conjures earnestness and humor while dealing head-on with all aspects of the human condition (and with a not-so-subtle nod to the underdog).

From Your Everlovin’ Editor

Hello darlin’,

It’s not even spring, yet, but good things are sprouting up here at The Lost Church and in the Bay Area and Sonoma County Arts & Entertainment Worlds.

Behind the scenes our team is getting started on this summer’s exciting city sponsored public events that you’ve grown to love. More on that later.

This week we’re launching 2 new and very hilarious residencies in San Francisco (1/19 & 20 Knights of Revery: A Surreal Comedic Dream Immersion and 1/21 live stand-up with Comedy at The Lost Church) and we’re celebrating how far we’ve come in Sonoma County with the TLC Song Service on 1/19 (going strong for 1 year now) and the jaw dropping talents of John Courage Trio and Mike Hellman on 1/20.

Swing by for our Free TLC Santa Rosa Open House and Open Mic this Saturday, Jan. 21st.

If you haven’t seen our now 1 year old Santa Rosa Theater…come party with us!

If you have seen and enjoyed one of our showcases in the past year…same…come party with us!

Get the gist?

(pssst….come party with us!)

This is just the beginning of much celebrating in the weeks ahead and we can’t wait to see your face.

Introducting Substrate Arts

Despite the doom and gloom stories we still live in a creatively rich area and there is a new online magazine making its debut with in-depth articles about the people who bring culture, new ideas, and interesting works to our community.

Introducing…

Substrate Arts

The collective at the helm of this new digital arts resource have been writing about Bay Area Arts for decades and have a deep understanding of its history and continued forward movement. We can’t wait to see what they share with us!

“We are an online magazine that provides in-depth, experimental, and long-form arts coverage of the Bay Area—inspired by the needs of local artists and art lovers. Soon, you’ll learn about our collective members and see into our first stories published.

In order to support our first year of operations, we are raising $25,000 by February 7! To learn more about Substrate and support new Bay Area journalism”
